Leveling fisherman in Dofus Unity: tiers, areas and automation
Fisherman is the most varied harvesting profession in Dofus Unity: 23 fish across 903 maps and 3,564 spots. It is also the most scattered — high-level fish live in Pandala, Frigost, the Sufokia Depths and as far as the Ink Kingdom, four corners of the world with nothing in common.
This page gives the real tiers, the areas where each fish is truly dense, what our fishing bot sessions measured, and what automation changes.

The profession in brief
Three things that guides copied from Dofus Retro systematically get wrong.
Fishing rods no longer exist
They were removed with the other harvesting tools and never came back. You fish by clicking the fishing spot, with nothing equipped. The few items still called "fishing rod" are quest items or weapons with no harvesting effect.
The fishmonger no longer exists either
It was merged into the fisherman. A single profession harvests and prepares. The profession goes up to level 200, with a new fish every ten levels.
No more "river", "sea" or "lake" spots
Each fish has its own harvesting spot, named after it. The water-type classification still found everywhere describes the pre-rework system.
The 23 fish and their tier
Maps and spots come from EZGather's map reference data; prices are the average prices of one of the game's servers, recorded on September 10, 2026 and refreshed daily. They vary from one server to another: read them as a ballpark.

Where to fish each fish
For each resource, the densest sub-area among those with at least five maps. The second-to-last column is the one that matters: how many harvests you make before changing screen. The last one is the in-game command to the nearest zaap; one click copies it.

Incarnam Lake is the best gudgeon spot in the game
Over twelve spots per map across eight maps — four times the density of the Amakna Sewers, the area everyone recommends. Incarnam is reserved for beginner characters, but for the very first levels of the profession, nothing comes close.
Astrub and Amakna cover tiers 1 to 100
The Astrub Sewers for trout and kittenfish, then the Kawaii River, the Dreggon Peninsula and Porco Territory for Iem carp, sardine, kralamoure and eel. A single sequence covers half the profession.
Akwadala is the tipping point of high level
This Pandala sub-area concentrates grey sea bream (5.6 spots per map) and monkfish (3.2) — by far the best densities past level 100. Past level 150, everything scatters: Frigost, Sufokia, the Ink Kingdom, with one or two spots per map.
What our fishing sessions measure
Across 42 bot sessions where fish were caught, 78.9 hours in total. Only two exceed 45 minutes with fishing as the dominant profession: the range is set at ± 35% around the median, not measured.
Throughput measures the whole session, travel, fights and bank trips included. It depends on the sequence played: a sequence harvesting two professions on the same maps splits its minute between both.
Manual or automated
A fishing session is three things: finding the spots, walking to them, going back to the bank when the inventory is full — and fishing fills it fast.
| By hand | With EZGather | |
|---|---|---|
| Finding the fishing spots | Visually, map by map | Read from the data the game sends: number and exact position of the available fishing spots |
| Travel between maps | Manual | The sequence, replayed map by map |
| Travel between areas | Zaaps and transports by hand | Automatic inter-area navigation |
| Full inventory | Manual bank trip | Automatic bank deposit, then the sequence resumes |
| Long session | Constant attention | Time scheduling, variable pauses |
How much does a Dofus fishing bot earn with EZGather?
Preset to fisherman. The measured pace of our sessions, what the world can supply, and competition on the spots — pick your hours and your fish, the calculation follows.
Average prices recorded on one of the game's servers on September 10, 2026 and refreshed daily. They change from one server to another and from one day to the next: a ballpark, not a quote.
How it is calculated
- The bot's pace: between that of our weakest sessions and that of our best ones, set by the pessimistic / optimistic slider, corrected by your mix's density relative to ours (square root of the ratio, bounded between 0.5 and 1.5), and slowed by the pressure above 40%.
- What the world can supply: for each resource, the spots reachable in one hour, its spots × 6 regrowths or 120 maps × its density, whichever is smaller, × units per harvest, minus the pressure.
- We gather the smaller of the two, resource by resource. A rare resource caps fast: 24 hours on elm wood alone is 65 spots in the whole game, not your lumberjack pace.
- Regrowth is set at ten minutes and the route at one map every thirty seconds: orders of magnitude, not measurements.
How the EZGather bot handles fisherman
A harvesting bot only: no combat, no marketplace, no maging. On a fishing sequence:
- You create the sequence once — map by map on the world map, each map's resources displayed from the same reference data as the tables above. How do I create, edit or delete my own sequence?
- You filter on fisherman, and even on the species: no gudgeon in the inventory when you fish grey sea bream. How do I configure a sequence (resources, disabled maps, options)?
- It knows where the resources are: the game sends the number and exact position of the available fishing spots on the map, the bot goes straight to them. How does harvesting work on a map?
- It handles a full inventory: detection, trip to the bank, deposit, back to the exact point of the sequence. What does the bot do when the inventory is full?
- It does not modify the Dofus client: it reads what the game sends, then simulates clicks and keyboard like a player.Does EZGather modify game files or my computer?
- Several sequences make a circuit, with pauses and travel between areas: that is what you launch for a long session. How do I create a circuit?
- It does not run 24/7: time slots, pauses that vary. A deliberate choice — see below. What is scheduling and how does it work?

Before launching a fishing bot: the ban risk
Automation is against Ankama's terms of use and exposes you to a sanction up to a permanent ban. Fishing in particular: spots are few per map, often on busy routes, and a character chaining them for hours gets noticed — the official forum threads where players report fishing bots are many. We do not promise undetectability: what EZGather does is reduce the most obvious signals. A risk reduction, not a guarantee.
Frequently asked questions
How do you level fisherman to 200 in Dofus Unity?
By fishing, at each tier, the highest fish your level allows: gudgeon from level 1, greuvette at 10, trout at 20, sourimi crab at 30, then a new fish every ten levels up to 200. Your job level unlocks fish, it does not change how much you catch: what counts is the density of fishing spots and how busy they are — hence the table and the areas above. EZGather chains those maps for you, on the route you choose; it does not level the job faster than the game allows, it does it without you.
At which level does each fish unlock?
Gudgeon at level 1, then a new fish every ten levels: greuvette at 10, trout at 20, sourimi crab at 30, and so on up to the three fish of level 200. The full table is above.
Do you need a fishing rod?
No. Fishing rods were removed from the game with the other harvesting tools. You fish by clicking the spot, with nothing equipped. Guides listing rod tiers describe Dofus Retro.
Where to fish gudgeon to start?
Incarnam Lake, if your character still has access: over twelve spots per map, the best density in the game for this fish. Otherwise the Amakna Sewers, more accessible but four times less dense.
Does EZGather work on Dofus Retro or Dofus Touch?
No. EZGather is built for Dofus Unity only: map, area and resource data are maintained for that version and that version alone.
Can the bot level several professions at once?
Yes. The filter accepts several professions at the same time — fisherman and alchemist for instance — and on a mixed map, the resources of all active professions are harvested.
How many kamas does a fishing session bring?
It depends on the price of fish on your server, which moves every week, and on the sequence you play. This page's calculator starts from our measured throughput and the average prices of one of the game's servers; replace them with yours.
