Leveling lumberjack in Dofus Unity: tiers, areas and automation
Lumberjack is the most widespread harvesting profession in Dofus Unity: 20 wood types across 1,684 maps and 3,902 spots. It is also the one where travel weighs the most — past level 150, a cutting session is mostly walking.
This page gives the real tiers, the areas where each wood is truly dense, what our lumberjack bot sessions measured, and what automation changes.

The profession in brief
Two points that guides copied from Dofus Retro regularly get wrong, and a reminder.
Up to level 200
A new wood unlocks every ten levels from 60 onward, up to aspen and aquajou at level 200. Ash, chestnut and walnut open the progression at levels 1, 20 and 40.
The axe is not a harvesting tool
In Unity, axes are combat weapons whose required level is the character's, not the profession's. They have no effect on cutting. You can cut with nothing equipped.
The profession levels through crafting
Harvesting feeds plank crafting; crafting gives most of the experience. Cutting alone levels slowly.
The 20 wood types and their tier
Maps and spots come from EZGather's map reference data; prices are the average prices of one of the game's servers, recorded on September 10, 2026 and refreshed daily. They vary from one server to another: read them as a ballpark.

The number of spots hints at rarity, not difficulty: Dark Bamboo has only 74 spots, but they sit on 25 maps of a single sub-area. Elm is scattered across 65 maps with one spot each — the most tedious wood to cut by hand.
Where to cut each wood
For each resource, the densest sub-area among those with at least five maps. The second-to-last column is the one that matters: how many harvests you make before changing screen. The last one is the in-game command to the nearest zaap; one click copies it.

Bouftou Corner beats Astrub Forest for ash
Astrub Forest has more spots in absolute terms (152 vs 109), but spread over 67 maps against 14. In Bouftou Corner you cut nearly eight trees before changing screen — and the area is far less crowded.
Two sub-areas for half the profession
The Jelly Peninsula is the best area for walnut, oak and maple; the Enchanted Lakes for kaliptus, hornbeam and elm. Two sequences, six tiers.
Past level 150, a travel problem
Kaliptus, hornbeam, dark bamboo, elm, sacred bamboo, aquajou and aspen hover around one spot per map, on different islands. That is where manual cutting becomes unreasonable — and where the bot makes sense.
What our lumberjack sessions measure
Across 106 bot sessions where wood was cut, 150.8 hours in total. Mostly mixed sequences — wood, herbs and fish on the same maps.
Throughput measures the whole session, travel, fights and bank trips included. It depends on the sequence played: a sequence harvesting two professions on the same maps splits its minute between both.
Manual or automated
A cutting session is three things: finding the trees, walking to them, going back to the bank when the inventory is full. In a dense area, walking is marginal; past level 150, it is most of the time.
| By hand | With EZGather | |
|---|---|---|
| Finding the trees | Visually, map by map | Read from the data the game sends: number and exact position of the available trees |
| Travel between maps | Manual | The sequence, replayed map by map |
| Travel between areas | Zaaps and transports by hand | Automatic inter-area navigation |
| Full inventory | Manual bank trip | Automatic bank deposit, then the sequence resumes |
| Long session | Constant attention | Time scheduling, variable pauses |
How much does a Dofus lumberjack bot earn with EZGather?
Preset to lumberjack. The measured pace of our sessions, what the world can supply, and competition on the spots — pick your hours and your woods, the calculation follows.
Average prices recorded on one of the game's servers on September 10, 2026 and refreshed daily. They change from one server to another and from one day to the next: a ballpark, not a quote.
How it is calculated
- The bot's pace: between that of our weakest sessions and that of our best ones, set by the pessimistic / optimistic slider, corrected by your mix's density relative to ours (square root of the ratio, bounded between 0.5 and 1.5), and slowed by the pressure above 40%.
- What the world can supply: for each resource, the spots reachable in one hour, its spots × 6 regrowths or 120 maps × its density, whichever is smaller, × units per harvest, minus the pressure.
- We gather the smaller of the two, resource by resource. A rare resource caps fast: 24 hours on elm wood alone is 65 spots in the whole game, not your lumberjack pace.
- Regrowth is set at ten minutes and the route at one map every thirty seconds: orders of magnitude, not measurements.
How the EZGather bot handles lumberjack
A harvesting bot only: no combat, no marketplace, no maging. On a cutting sequence:
- You create the sequence once — map by map on the world map, each map's trees displayed from the same reference data as the tables above. How do I create, edit or delete my own sequence?
- You filter on lumberjack, and even on the woods: no ash in the inventory when you farm bombu. How do I configure a sequence (resources, disabled maps, options)?
- It knows where the trees are: the game sends the number and exact position of the available trees on the map, the bot goes straight to them. How does harvesting work on a map?
- It handles a full inventory: detection, trip to the bank, deposit, back to the exact point of the sequence. What does the bot do when the inventory is full?
- It does not modify the Dofus client: it reads what the game sends, then simulates clicks and keyboard like a player.Does EZGather modify game files or my computer?
- Several sequences make a circuit, with pauses and travel between areas: that is what you launch for a long session. How do I create a circuit?
- It does not run 24/7: time slots, pauses that vary. A deliberate choice — see below. What is scheduling and how does it work?

Before launching a lumberjack bot: the ban risk
Automation is against Ankama's terms of use and exposes you to a sanction up to a permanent ban. We do not promise undetectability: what EZGather does is reduce the most obvious signals. A risk reduction, not a guarantee.
Frequently asked questions
How do you level lumberjack to 200 in Dofus Unity?
By cutting, at each tier, the highest wood your level allows: ash from level 1, chestnut at 20, walnut at 40, oak at 60, then a new wood every ten levels up to 200. Your job level unlocks woods, it does not change how much you harvest: what makes the difference is the density of the area and how busy it is — hence the table and the areas above. EZGather chains those maps for you, on the route you choose; it does not level the job faster than the game allows, it does it without you.
At which level does each wood unlock?
Ash at level 1, chestnut at 20, walnut at 40, oak at 60, then a new wood every ten levels up to aspen and aquajou at level 200. The full table is above.
Do you need an axe to cut?
No. In Dofus Unity, axes are combat weapons with no effect on harvesting. Their required level is your character's, not your profession's. Guides that say otherwise describe Dofus Retro.
What is the best area to start leveling lumberjack?
Bouftou Corner in Amakna, for density — nearly eight ash spots per map over 14 maps. Astrub Forest has more trees in total but far more spread out, and it is much more crowded.
Does EZGather work on Dofus Retro or Dofus Touch?
No. EZGather is built for Dofus Unity only: map, area and resource data are maintained for that version and that version alone.
Can the bot level several professions at once?
Yes. The filter accepts several professions at the same time — miner and lumberjack for instance — and on a mixed map, the resources of all active professions are harvested.
How many kamas does a lumberjack session bring?
It depends on the price of wood on your server, which moves every week, and on the sequence you play. This page's calculator starts from our measured throughput and the average prices of one of the game's servers; replace them with yours.
